Host
a backyard cookout, and invite the neighborhood! You have
enough room to smoke a huge amount of food at once. Grilling
surface of six
10" x 46" rotating shelves, over 12 square feet
of cooking surface! This pit makes for an excellent "tailgater"
or an introductory pit for the competitor or vendor.
Our
four-foot model has the smoking/barbecuing capacity to handle
up to seventy-two slabs of ribs*, eighteen 10-12 pound whole
briskets, twenty-four 8 pound Boston butts, or thirty-six
whole chickens.
Amounts
based upon:
*Two and down St. Louis Style Ribs, with use of rib racks
with three slabs per rack
Eleven pound whole briskets — based on case average
Eight pound Boston butts — based on case average
Three pound whole chickens — based on case of sixteen
chickens, and case weight of forty-eight pounds.
All
measurements were taken at the August 15-16, 2003 Madison,
Indiana "Ribberfest", a Kansas City Barbecue Society
contest.
